The Proteas will be hunting for early wickets when they battle it out with Australia from Friday in the 1st Test at the Gabba.
The Proteas wrapped up their preparations for the 1st Test yesterday by playing to a draw against the Cricket Australia XI at the Allan Border Oval.
The Baggy Greens in their turn beat the West Indies convincingly in the two-Test series, but they are well aware that South Africa will be a step-up.
The Proteas bowling coach, Charl Langeveldt, said the key to success lies in the first 20 balls.
