Cargo airport, Special Economic Zone on the cards for Matjhabeng – Destea

A Special Economic Zone (SEZ), cargo airport and the revitalisation of the Phakisa Raceway are all on the cards for the Matjhabeng Local Municipality under which Welkom, Odendaalsrus and Virginina fall. This is according to the Free State Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Destea) led by MEC, Thabo Meeko.
