Sadly, the attention First Lady, Dr Motsepe received during President Ramaphosa’s inauguration earlier this week, drew some negativity. Social media users attacked her for her appearance. The President himself has been insulted for his appearance. So has former President Jacob Zuma. When it comes to politicians, we’ve made it acceptable to insult and disrespect them. Why is this kind of disrespect normalised? And why do we choose and pick who gets disrespected?
