Late last week, news organizations began to report that a former Canadian Forces soldier, who was responsible for helping about 100 people flee Afghanistan after Kabul was captured by the Taliban in August 2021, had been captured. Dave Lavery, known as "Canadian Dave" is missing, reportedly taken by the Taliban.
