Late last week, news organizations began to report that a former Canadian Forces soldier, who was responsible for helping about 100 people flee Afghanistan after Kabul was captured by the Taliban in August 2021, had been captured. Dave Lavery, known as "Canadian Dave" is missing, reportedly taken by the Taliban. Phil Gurski, former senior strategic analyst at the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) specializing in Al Qaeda and Islamic State-inspired terrorism, joins Evan to discuss the alleged kidnapping.
