#FirstThuingsFirst - Zuma in Leaked Audio: “We cannot work with recruited enemies within the ANC”

A leaked voice note has surfaced, purportedly revealing how leader of the MK Party, Jacob Zuma, recently rejected overtures to join the GNU and the Government of Provincial Unity (GPU) in KwaZulu-Natal. Speaking candidly to senior MK Party members in a closed meeting , Zuma portrayed the unity proposal as a calculated attempt by “political elites” to neutralise radical opposition and consolidate power. The ANC has denied approaching Zuma or the MK Pparty to join the GNU, dismissing claims made in a leaked audio recording attributed to Zuma as “unfounded and misleading.” The team reflected on these developments and asked, "Do you think the MK party leaked the audio deliberately? What do you think they are working on? Why is the ANC so defensive?"
