Jonel Scholtz het in 1988 begin skilder terwyl sy op hoërskool was, saam met Louise Goudemond, 'n Amerikaanse kunstenaar wat spesialiseer in figuurlike werk en olieportrette. In 2025 het haar kuns haar weer eens 'n wêreldwye platform gegee. Jonel is gekies om haar kuns in te sluit in "Routines", 'n uitstalling in Londen onder die kuratorskap van Anne-Marie Bickerton en Marcus Jake. Dit is 'n samewerkingsuitstalling tussen twee Londense galerye en die uitstalling sal tot 20 September 2025 duur. Jonel woon in Potchefstroom waar sy ook kunsklasse bied en sy sluit aan by Yolanda Maartens in die OFM Art Beat om oor haar kuns te praat en ander kreatiewes te motiveer.
