In light of this weekend's secret retreat convened by President Ramaphosa with leaders of political parties in the GNU to hold talks on the state of the coalition government and the challenges he is facing in dealing with the DA and being second-guessed by ANC stalwarts such as former president Thabo Mbeki. This amidst Mbeki's accusation that some senior leaders within the ANC were planted by the Apartheid government's counterintelligence to destabilize the ANC and democratically elected government.
