The Ngeke! Festival is a groundbreaking, youth-driven music
event set to take place on 6 December 2025 at Constitution Hill in
Johannesburg, uniting artists, activists, and communities under
one message: Ngeke! , meaning “Never” or “I won’t.
” This free
festival, presented by Fair Play South Africa in collaboration with
JM International, the European Union Delegation to South Africa,
Transparency International, Corruption Watch, the Special
Investigating Unit (SIU), and other key partners, aims to inspire all
South Africans to take a stand against corruption through music,
dialogue, and collective action. Hosted by storyteller and youth
policy leader LERAI, the festival features powerful performances
from Zoë Modiga, BCUC (Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness),
and the newly announced Fair Play SA competition winners,
Onset Music Group and Xtreem Makhayeni , all of whom embody
