We convey our condolences to the victims of two mass shooting incidents in the United States, one in El Paso (Texas) and Dayton (Ohio).

This incidents stress the importance of a liberal democratic government playing its role in protecting citizens, and at the same time not infringing on their rights and freedoms.

We look at the tenure of outgoing Johannesburg Stock Exchange CEO, Nicky Newton-King. Did she do enough to fight against the bad policy proposals that threatened investors on her platform? Does the SA investment community understand the threats of Leftist policies such as Prescribed Asets or EWC?
